Hello, dear readers! Today, I'm thrilled to introduce a brand-new blog series that chronicles an extraordinary journey I took with a friend across the southwestern United States. Over 17 days in April 2022, we traversed through a tapestry of landscapes, from the awe-inspiring Grand Canyon to the luxurious resorts of Scottsdale and the mystical red rocks of Sedona. This series, aptly titled "From the Ashes Into the Skies," will take you along for the ride, offering a window into the diverse beauty and rich history of this incredible region.
Our road trip began in Kingman, Arizona, a charming town that serves as a gateway to the historic Route 66. From there, we ventured to the Grand Canyon, where nature's grandeur left us speechless. Our journey continued through the mountainous terrains of Flagstaff and led us to the desert oasis of Scottsdale. After soaking in the luxury and leisure of Scottsdale, we set off for Sedona, a place renowned for its red rocks and spiritual vortexes.
We didn't stop there; our adventure took us through the mining towns of Jerome and Prescott, where we stepped back in time and enjoyed stunning mountain vistas. We then found tranquility in La Quinta, a resort city in California's Coachella Valley, before sipping fine wines in Temecula Valley. Our trip culminated in the multifaceted city of Los Angeles, where we experienced everything from the glitz of Hollywood to the bohemian vibes of Venice Beach.
